Jessica Vazquez Many of us discovered how much we love interior design through games (well… at least I did) and it is always nice to have fun options to play with if you love decorating your home and you just want to take a break from life and relax for a little while and have fun trying out one of the following 7 Interior Design Games that we’ve put together for you:
1. DESIGN HOME

This is one of my favourite design apps it’s super simple and fun, there are many “challenges” for you to enter, It can be to decorate a living room in a Villa in the woods or a penthouse in a big city, when you start the game you are given a certain amount of “money” for you to buy furniture and accessories for your room so If you want to play for free I advise you to choose your items wisely, or you can purchase gems and access other items that you can’t buy with the app “money”. Once your design is done, you wait for the results and if your design is one of the users favourites (people vote for the best designs) you get a cool item or furniture to use in the future. I really love this game because you can play with colors and styles of furniture, it has so many gorgeous options and collections and textures which makes it really really fun!

2. PROPERTY BROTHERS
This game is a combination of puzzle game with interior design… Yes, I know… I’m supposed to be recommending design apps but here’s the thing about this app, you play the puzzle game to win money for you to purchase the items and furniture for your room and every time you chose an item or a wall color or floor tiling, one of the “brothers” gives you useful tips which you can use in real life, even though this app doesn’t have many options in furniture or accessories the tips in design are gold! And you get to learn this while playing, cool right?

3. DESIGN MY ROOM
This is a pretty cool app that you can spend quite some time going through all the items in its library, the furniture is gorgeous and the options never seem to end! It’s so much fun to scroll through all the accessories and decoration, at the beginning you are given a certain amount of bill and gems, It’s a cool amount for you to start with but of course you can buy gems if you want. The game it’s pretty simple, you just choose furniture, rugs, plants and accessories, you don’t get to change the floor or wall coverings, but it’s a fun game though, I’d give it a try if I was you!

4. REDECOR
This one it’s actually very simple, you don’t get to choose the furniture or the objects, you are given a challenge and what you do is to play with colors, fabrics and materials… now, I know it doesn’t seem like that much fun, but you would be surprised with how much time you can spend just deciding how to combine colors and textures. I also think this is a helpful game for somebody who is trying to learn just this, colors.

5. KAWAII HOME DESIGN
There are so many interior design games out there that it can get frustrating trying to find a unique game mode… well this app it’s pretty close to be a rare gem in interior design games, the art style of the game is amazing (duh… you can’t go wrong with kawaii style), it’s very easy to understand since you can make your first and second designs without “bills or coins” restrictions when buying furniture and accessories for your design and you have an assistant that will explain everything to you in the easiest way… while calling you “master”. It’s super cute!!

6. ADORABLE HOME
This is such a cute game where you make choices to receive “love” from your partner and your pet, you can use this love to purchase objects to decorate your entire home but you have to play to unlock all the rooms of your house, in the beginning you can only decorate your lounge room and it has many cute options in furniture and accessories. This game is very relaxing and simple and since it is in real time you don’t need to spend hours playing, you just have to come back and check your progress.

7. THE SIMS
EDITOR’S ALL TIME FAVORITE!! (…but it’s not free)
I remember when I was a teenager I would spend hours playing The Sims… I would make the house of my dreams (with simoleons cheat code of course) and by the time I was finished I didn’t care that much to actually play… but didn’t I have fun! If you love interior design and construction even, you should really really give this game a chance, the options for its construction mode are amazing and after you are done with your house you get to actually play the game. Besides the construction mode is just half of the fun, the game is hilarious, I really really love it and I think it’s worth the price.
